1.Add maida and sorghum flour to a bowl.
2.Add baking powder, salt and ghee to it and mix well.
3.Add curd and knead into a smooth dough. Keep aside for around 20 to 25 minutes to set.
4.Add sugar and a cup of water to a pan and heat on a medium flame.
5.Heat while stirring till it forms a single-thread syrup and turn off the flame.
6.Add cardamom powder to the syrup and set it aside. Keep it covered so that it doesn't cool down quickly.
7.Take the dough and knead it a little.
8.Roll the dough into small balls. Flatten each ball a little and make a hole through the centre with a finger.
9.Prepare the rest of the dough the same way.
10.Heat oil in a heavy-bottom pan on a low flame for deep frying.
11.Depending on the size of the utensil, put 7-8 balushahi into the hot oil.
12.Fry on a low flame and flip them until golden brown on all sides.
13.When ready, take out the balushahi and steep it in sugar syrup for around 20 minutes.
14.Serve this scrumptious dessert warm.
