Step by Step method

  • Preparation :

  • 1.Wash the kodo millet rice to remove any stones and impurities.

  • 2. Add water to a medium-sized pan and bring to a boil.

  • 3. Add kodo millet to the boiling water and cook for about 15 minutes or till it becomes soft or u can use a pressure cooker to cook it .

  • 4.Keep the cooked kodo millet rice aside and let it cool.

  • 5. Mix curd and a little salt in a bowl. Add to the kodo millet rice and mix well.

  • 6. Heat oil in a pan. Add groundnuts, black gram and bengal gram and stir fry on a low flame till lightly browned.

  • 7. Add curry leaves, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and red chilli and stir fry for 10 seconds on a low flame.

  • 8. Immediately add the tempered spices to the kodo millet and mix to spread evenly.

  • 9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve
