Step by Step method

  • Preparation :

  • 1.Heat oil in a medium-sized pan.

  • 2.Add Mustard seed, redchilli, curryleafs, bengalgram, blackgram,greenchilli, onion

  • and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until onions turn translucent.

  • 3.Add vegetables one by one and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes on a medium flame.

  • 4.Add salt, turmeric powder and water( if required) and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

  • 5.Cover it till all vegetable were cooked well, keep it aside.

  • 6.In another pan, add oil, mustard seed, red chilli, onion, tomato and saute. Add

  • water, salt and turmeric powder

  • 7.When the water starts to boil, add millet rawa, and mix well.

  • 8.Cover the pan and cook for about 7-8 minutes on a low flame till the water is

  • absorbed and the millet is cooked well.

  • 9.Add cooked vegetables and spring onions and cook it for another 3-4 minutes

  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve the millet upma hot.
