Step by Step method

  • Preparation:

  • 1.Wash and soak blackgram for minimum 4 hours.

  • 2.Grind black gram into a smooth batter.

  • 3.Mix Ragi flour and salt in to it , mix it properly.

  • 4.Allow to ferment for about 2 to 3 hours. In cold weather, ferment overnight.

  • 5.Heat the dosa tawa. Spread some oil in to it.

  • 6.Pour a ladleful of thick batter on the tawa and spread into a round shape with the

  • ladle.

  • 7.Cook for 4 to 5 minutes.

  • 8.Serve Ragi chakuli hot with chutney or a curry of your choice!
