1.Rinse all the lentils (moong dal, masoor dal, toor dal, chana dal, urad dal) and dalia
thoroughly.
2.Soak them along with little millet in enough water for about 1 hour.
3.After 1 hour, drain the water from the lentils and grains.
4.In a pan, take the soaked lentils, grains, turmeric powder, salt and enough water and
cook for about 20-25 minutes until they turn soft and well cooked. ( u can use
pressure cooker also)
5.In a separate pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add whole garam masala, sugar and
chopped onions and sauté until onion turns golden brown.
6.Add salt and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté for a couple of minutes. Add chilli powder and
turmeric powder .
7.Add garam masala powder, chicken and tomato and cook it properly .
8.Once chicken are cooked, add pre boiled lentil millet mix in to it.
9.Add Garam masala powder and oats let it simmer for another 4-5 minutes.
10.In another pan heat 1 tsp oil, add chopped garlic and whole dry chilli in to it.
11.Once garlic turns golden brown, transfer it to the haleem pot.
12.Serve the Little Millet Haleem hot, u can garnish with chopped coriander leaf, fried
onions and lemon if desired.
