Step by Step method

  • Preparation:

  • 1.Peel bananas and mash them in a mixing bowl.

  • 2.Add ragi flour, maida, fennel seeds, cardamom powderw and salt to the bananas.

  • 3.Add water and mix well to make a thick batter. Keep covered for about 10 minutes.

  • 4.Add equal portions of sugar and water to a pan and stir continuously until you get a one-string consistency syrup.Once done, keep aside.

  • 5.Heat oil in a pan on medium flame for deep frying.

  • 6.Pour a ladle of batter into the oil. When the upper surface starts getting cooked, flip the malpua over to cook the other side. Once done remove from the pan and 7.similarly prepare the remaining malpua.

  • 8.Dip the cooked malpua in the sugar syrup for a couple of seconds.

  • The sugar-coated ragi malpua is now ready to be served.
