1.Pre-heat oven to 180°C while you prepare the batter.
2.Separately sieve ragi flour and maida to remove husk or other impurities.
3.Mix ragi flour and maida thoroughly in a bowl to prepare the dry mix.
4.Add butter and curd/ egg to a separate bowl and beat the wet mix till it attains a creamy texture.
5.Add powdered sugar and vanilla essence to the wet mix and stir till the sugar dissolves.
6.Add the dry mix, baking soda and baking powder to the wet mix.
7.Mix well till the batter reaches a uniform consistency.
8.Add milk and mix well to a uniform consistency.
9.Add choco chips to the batter.
10.Transfer the batter to baking pan and bake at 180°C for 25 to 30 min.
11.Check if cake has baked well. If not, bake for another 5 minutes.
12.Take the cake out of the oven and allow to cool.
Cut the ragi cake into generous pieces and serve!
