  • Preparation:

  • 1.Separately sieve ragi flour and maida to remove husk or other impurities.

  • 2.Mix ragi flour and maida thoroughly in a bowl to prepare the dry mix.

  • 3.Add butter and sugar to a separate bowl and stir well till it becomes creamy.

  • 4.Add milk and essence to the wet mix and stir to a uniform consistency.

  • 5.Add the dry mix, baking powder and salt to the wet mix.

  • 6.Mix well till it becomes a uniform soft dough.

  • 7.Roll the dough into small balls and cut into cookie shapes by hand or with a cookie cutter.

  • 8.Place the biscuits on a baking tray.

  • 9.Pre-heat oven to 180°C.

  • 10.Bake the biscuits at 180°C for 15 to 18 minutes.

  • 11.Allow the biscuits to cool and store them in air-tight containers to keep them crispy and fresh.
