  • Preparation :

  • 1. Start by washing the little millet rice and sakara separately in water to remove any impurities.

  • 2. Mix 50gm of little millet rice with Sakara. With the help of a mortar and pestle, crush it and keep it aside.

  • 3. In a pan/vessel, boil water. When water starts to boil, add millet rice and crushed Sakara into it.

  • 4. Then add salt and cook it on medium heat until the millet softens and the water is absorbed.

  • 5. Little Millet sakara rice dish is ready to serve hot with any curry or green greenleafs.

  • This dish is a staple among the few tribes of Odisha and is also very healthy.
