Step by Step method

  • Preparation:

  • 1.Heat 50 gm ghee in a medium-sized pan on a low flame for 2 minutes.

  • 2.Add cashew nuts to the ghee and fry on a low flame till cashew turns golden brown. Keep aside in a bowl.

  • 3.Fry raisins in the ghee on a low flame for 1-2 seconds and keep aside in a bowl.

  • 4.Roast ragi flour in the same pan with the remaining ghee.

  • 5.Add milk to the ragi flour and keep stirring to prevent lumps from forming.

  • 6.Once the ragi mix solidifies, add sugar and cook till the ghee separates.

  • 7.Add the roasted cashew nuts, raisins and green cardamom powder to the mix.

  • Ragi halwa is ready to be served
