Pearl Millet Pakoda

Make something different with the Bajra (Pearl Millet) grains. So how about some healthy and yummy pakoras for an enjoyable tea-time snack? It is made with few basic ingredients easily available in your kitchen and can be dished out in no time.

Ingredients

  1. Chopped onion
  2. green chilli
  3. pearl millet flour – 1 cup,
  4. Bengal gram flour – 1/2 cup
  5. Chilli powder and salt – as required.

Directions

  1. Mix pearl millet flour, bengal gram flour, chopped onion, green chilli, chilli powder, salt as required and add water to make thick batter.
  2. Fry the batter in oil with the required shapes.
  3. Remove pakodas from pan and place it on a tissue to remove excess oil.
  4. This is served as evening snack along with tomato sauce.
