Ingredients

  1. Fingermillet powder - 100 gm
  2. Chopped carrot - 80 gm
  3. Chopped beans - 50 gm
  4. Coriander leafs - as required
  5. Butter/ rened oil - 15 gm
  6. Chopped green Chilli - as required
  7. Chopped tomato - 50 gm
  8. Black pepper powder - 1 tbs
  9. Salt - as per taste

Directions

  1. Take a medium sized pan and dry roast finger millet powder for 4 minutes on a low flame and keep aside in a bowl.
  2. Put butter/refine oil in the pan and heat it on low flame till butter melts/oil becomes hot.
  3. Add all the chopped vegetables, tomato and green chilli to stir fry for 3 to 4 minutes on a medium flame.
  4. Add 6 cups of water and salt to the pan. Cook them on medium flame 5 to 10 minutes till vegetables are cooked.
  5. Add another 4 cup of water and pepper powder to the mix.
  6. Put finger millet powder in a cup of water and mix it till attains uniform consistency without lumps.
  7. Add the watery finger millet mix to the vegetables and boil it for 4 to 5 minutes in a low flame.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaf.
  9. Finger millet soup is ready to be served.
